Sitecore Technology MVP 2022!
Seven is my lucky number. And being awarded an MVP title even once is an amazing honor. So you can imagine how proud and grateful I am to be named Most Valuable Professional by Sitecore for the seventh time in a row! This year, as a Technology MVP, I am one of only 141 Sitecore professionals worldwide that have been awarded with an MVP title in this category. It still really means a lot to me to be part of such a great community and to be able to contribute to sharing knowledge within this community.
Last year I focused on both researching and discovering AKS as a successor of the popular Azure Web Apps PaaS architecture, as well as doing implementations, and building extensions and integrations with and within Content Hub. I further optimized my PaaS to AKS boilerplate, an Open Source project to share our approach to utilizing the new containerized Cloud offering. And I also developed a whole new Content Hub extension from scratch for Focal Point Cropping, an Open Source project that both delivers the UI elements in Content Hub to do so, as well as the algorithm and business logic to dynamically generate a vast amount of possible ratios and image sizes based on this enhanced smart cropping mechanism. I also spoke on multiple Sitecore events like User Groups, SUGCON Europe and the Sitecore Symposium, and will continue to do so this year.
For more information on the MVP program check out the announcement by Sitecore and the full list of 2022 MVP’s. I hereby want to congratulate all my fellow MVP’s of 2022 with their excellent achievement. Last year I wrote that I was looking forward to meet again in 2021… This year, this wish might come true, as we’re approaching our first in-person event again: SUGCON Europe 2022! I hope to see you there.
Cheers to another eventful year for the Sitecore community!
